Laganiere joined the Broome Dusters in 1976 and amassed 48
goals and 79 assists during the 1976-77 season. He spent two
more seasons in Binghamton as the Dusters moved from the
North American Hockey League to the AHL, however injuries
forced is retirement in 1979.
Laganiere’s biggest contributions to Binghamton hockey may have come since his playing days ended. He has been a tireless coach for youth hockey in the area, leading his bantam team to a second-place finish in the 2000 National Championship Tournament. |
